An evening at the movies is not what it used to be. Like most other commodities, prices of multiplex tickets have inched up in the past year or two, along with that of the food and beverages on offer. There are differences, however, across cities and multiplex chains.

With ticket prices going up and broadband prices going down, movie downloading will only get more widespread.
on Feb 26, 2013Even though downloading becomes very cheap and ticket rates in multiplexes keep rising exponentially, you surely won\'t stop going to Mutiplexes as viewing a movie in a multiplex is far enriching experience than viewing it on a compuer or television. Moreover you have take your girlfriend/spouse to a multiplex and can\'t replace it by downloaded movies. In short we have to bear the cost.

on Feb 26, 2013The ticket rates of Mumbai that are mentioned above; are the ones from the costiest of multiplexes. A majority of multiplexes (about 80%) sell tickets around Rs 200 and Rs 220 on weekends.
