This was a sad reading. The missed opportunity, lost generation etc are written all over it. Although our size, diversity, internal conflicts etc are responsble factrs but are they enough to explain this sorry state? I think socialistic policies anjd crony capitalism persued by our founding fathers is real cause of this under performance. Americans take pride in their founding fathers. I am not so sure if Indians will say the same about their\'s. Leaders indeed make or break country, state, company, institution. any group, team, school, hospital....etc. In thaty sense we Indians are less fortunate compared to other nations. But then people get the leaders that they deserve...so who is ultimately responsible and should really own up this sorry state of affairs? We the people...Right?
on Aug 20, 2013Very interesting Infographic. Let us Compare the Two countries Ireland and India which got independence at nearly the same time(both the countries start with I). While the Per Capita Income of Ireland is 10 times more than India the Population of India is about 224 times compared to Ireland. As such Population Vs Per Capita Income matches!
